Within the meticulously crafted confines of the second-generation LM, quietness and tranquillity reign supreme. The peaceful interior provides a respite from life’s stresses: creating a calming refuge that recharges. For those that live life at the helm, it can also enable continuous productivity away from the office. The unique blend of peace and quiet is made possible by the effortless power of a selection of two electrified hybrid powertrains – a turbocharged 2.4-litre hybrid four-cylinder or a 2.5-litre hybrid. Rooted in intuitive human-centred experience, the Lexus Driving Signature (LDS) facilitates a distinct and engaging driving interaction. Yet, the Lexus LM pushes LDS further, broadening its perspective to focus on rear guests’ riding experience. By adjusting the operation of essential components such as steering, acceleration and suspension, LM delivers a more restful chauffeured ride. Only at Lexus, with unprecedented attention to every detail, would crafting such an exquisite sanctuary be possible.

LM 500h - 2.4T-HEV DIRECT4 A controlled, smooth application of power and torque is realised by the 202-kW, 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four matched to a six-speed automatic gearbox, integrated Power Control unit, and 64-kW motor. At the rear, a 76-kW eAxle provides near-instantaneous power to the rear wheels. A standard DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system orchestrates a seamless, direct application of drive force between the front and rear axles in milliseconds, no matter the situation, thus improving handling, controllability, and feel. Body movement is also minimised for a more comfortable ride.
LM 350h - 2.5L-HEV FWD / E-Four A 140kW, 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine is teamed with an all-new high-output, low-resistance nickel-metal hydride battery that offers a high level of output. The battery is located below the front centre console and seats, thus enabling improved passenger comfort. The available E-Four, Lexus’ innovative all-wheel drive system, places a motor at the front (134-kW output) and rear (40-kW output) axles for near-instantaneous drive force application in low-grip or acceleration scenarios.
LM’s chassis and body structures employ substantial bracing and reinforcement to maintain a calm, predictable driving composure. Overall rigidity is increased, drastically reducing yaw, pitch and roll. Added reinforcement is found at the front and rear suspension (structural support), radiator (front circular structure), cowl (steering system stiffener and bracing), and B-, C-, and D-pillars (gusset structures).
Lightweight body LM’s thinner panels save 12.3 kilograms and all-new 0.7-mm thick aluminium sliding doors save 15.8 kilograms, whilst still ensuring safety.
A Hood, B Front Quarter, C Front Door, D Roof, E Rear Door Panel, F Back Door.
Improved suspension geometry The geometries of the front MacPherson™¹ strut type and rear trailing arm type double-wishbone are enhanced for improved absorption and deflection of road inputs. This delivers a more controlled driving experience, higher passenger comfort levels and a roomier interior.
Lightened suspension Aluminium front and rear suspension carriers, and a new hub bolt fastening system, contribute to LM’s light weight, without sacrificing the required stability. The latter system provides a higher axial force, which widens the tyres’ contact patches and improves steering response.
Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) LM’s AVS system provides improved stability and superior steering response for a comfortable ride. AVS uses linear solenoid-type actuators to modify the shock absorbers’ damping force with nearinstant adjustments based on driving operation and road conditions. The Frequency Sensitive Valves within the dampers further reduce noise and vibration inside the cabin.
Electronically Controlled Brake (ECB) System (AHB-G) With its pressure-on-demand system, ECB braking provides excellent controllability, responsiveness and a natural brake feel with an optimum balance between brake effectiveness and rigidity. Front-rear pressure regulation is independent, so front-rear brake force distribution can be better applied, therefore enhancing ride stability and quality.
Vehicle Braking Posture Control (Pitch Control) During braking manoeuvres, front-rear brake force distribution varies according to the driver’s braking input and the suspension’s vertical inputs. Brake force is concurrently weighted toward the rear to reduce pitch changes and suppress vehicle lift, thus improving rear seat ride quality and minimising front-to-rear head movements.
Vehicle Braking Posture Control (Roll Control) During cornering manoeuvres, posture control programming employs the LM’s braking system to suppress roll and stabilise the vehicle’s posture. When a lateral acceleration sensor detects excessive roll rate, nominal braking force is applied to the rear inner wheel to generate anti-lift force that effectively pushes the vehicle body down, reducing the roll growth rate and improving posture.
Wheel construction The LM is outfitted with 19-inch x 7-inch forged aluminium wheels, which feature a new finish.
Evolving the resolute look.
Exterior Designers approached LM’s styling with a fresh perspective. Instead of founding LM’s overall shape on the iconic spindle grille, they began with what is known as the Unified Spindle — the centrepiece of Lexus’ Resolute Look that first debuted in 2003. From this piece, LM’s proportions remain sleek, wide, and focused on an optimal rear-seat-forward aesthetic, thus expressing superb comfort and performance.
Unified spindle with resolute look and a solid stance.
Front The LM’s protruding Unified Spindle grille is placed below the slim triple-beam LED headlights to express a modern, intelligent façade. The Function Crevasse, a slender crease running above the headlights and below the sloping hood, aids in reducing airflow pressure and drag coefficient. The seamless grille, not only effectively directs and deflects air to improve the powertrain’s cooling efficiency, it also enhances the passengers’ ride comfort.
Rear An expansive L-Signature bar lamp features an additional horizontal lamp placed above. The threedimensional lighting unit spans from D-pillar to D-pillar to emphasise LM’s width and sturdy stance.
'Rear-seat-first’ profile.
Side An elongated silhouette with a low beltline produces a ‘rear-seat-first’ appearance that emphasises the front and rear tyres while maximising passenger space and outward visibility. Blacked-out A- and D-pillars provide passenger privacy.
Engineering the ‘silent body’ Tranquillity is achieved through aerodynamic astuteness. Engineers have developed one of the most aerodynamically efficient and airtight body structures ever to wear a Lexus badge.
Seamless grille The seamless Unified Spindle’s shape makes the LM more aerodynamic, which benefits steering response, improves ride quality, and adds to passenger cosiness.
Acoustic glass The windshield, front quarter, front door, and sliding door utilise acoustic glass for the reduction of highfrequency wind noise.
Wind noise reduction By making LM’s body tighter, aerodynamics have been improved and drag has been reduced.
Body tightness A low-profile A-pillar sits nearly flush with the windshield and front passenger window glass to combat buffeting noise. A hood rectifier, designed to reduce vortices in the area, resides where the windshield meets the hood. And the exterior mirrors’ shape suppresses vortices — and noise — when air rushes by.
Advanced airflow Body moulding that sits as flush as possible to the LM’s window glass improves overall aerodynamics and handling stability. At the lower body, sculpted rockers wear air-directing fins to promote a flat, stable ride and stifle body roll. A dimpled underbody cover manages air vortices for the benefit of stability at higher speeds.
Blending of worlds Part living room, part office space, a sense of calmness saturates LM’s interior. This is especially true in the rear cabin where the environment seamlessly blends the two distinct worlds within the well-appointed, capacious sanctuary. Owners can choose either a four-seat (LM 500h models only) or seven-seat (LM 350h models only) configuration to accommodate their requirements. The former arrangement is catered to chauffeur driving and the latter to business or family mobility. Either selection offers an unperturbed, minimalist design highlighted by expansive outward views, a bevy of humancentred technologies, and, of course, superlative comfort.
Interior perspective LM’s interior perspective is guided by a stunning and welcoming aesthetic, a smooth, comfortable ride quality, and calming acoustics.
Welcoming decor Materials, along with their colourings and textures, interplay masterfully to accentuate a welcoming aesthetic characterised by modern vertical and horizontal styling.
Decorative lighting conveys Omotenashi to passengers at an emotional level. A selection of 14 indirect lighting colours amplifies the beauty of the space’s forms and materials.
Front seats Indirect lighting is on the pull handle, e-Latch lever, and footwell.
Rear seats Indirect lighting is on the ceiling, side trim, and footwell for all seat configurations.
Serene quietnes Upon entering and well into a journey, the atmosphere is one of serene quietness thanks to the inclusion of noise-and sound-controlling measures. A feeling of calm insulation enables unobstructed conversation, movie watching, or focused productivity.
Rear Comfort Mode (RCM) Part of the Drive Mode Select feature (Normal, Eco, Sport, Rear Comfort, and Custom), the RCM is a sophisticated program that orchestrates Adaptive Variable Suspension, Electric Power Steering, and braking to minimise squat and dive during acceleration and braking, in real-time. RCM vastly improves rear passenger comfort by maintaining level seating positions, thereby mitigating overall head and body movement. Passengers can read and write without abrupt jostling while traveling over most road surface types and topographies.
Active Noise Control (ANC) ANC maintains acoustic frequencies that our senses perceive as natural and calming, for a relaxed environment. Four microphones detect unwanted exterior noises and sounds and use LM’s audio speakers to output a reverse phase frequency to cancel them out. Microphones placed in the four-seat configuration prioritise the rear seat zone, while those in the seven-seater cover the entire cabin equally.
Layered headliner The LM’s new, multi-layered headliner is insulated for more effective noise absorption. This ensures the cabin is a more comfortable space with better-balanced sound frequencies.
Partition sound insulation The partition’s composition includes an interlayer film for sound insulation. Improved sealing around the partition also improves overall quietness.
Noise-proofing materials Noise-proofing material has been used in optimal locations covering a wide area – including the floor carpet, dash silencer, door trim, and ceiling – to provide a high level of cabin quietness. • Noise-absorbing roof headlining • Non-noise absorbing roof headlining¹ • Noise-absorbing Thinsulate™² at doors and rear cabin • Noise-absorbing Thinsulate™² at partition • Noise-insulating material at partition¹ • Noise-absorbing dash silencer at front cabin • Noise-absorbing felt at underbody • Wheel-well silencer • Noise-insulating front floor carpet at front cabin • Front floor silencer at front cabin floor • Noise-insulating rear floor carpet and noiseabsorbing bead-less mat at rear cabin.
Glass roof Dual independent roof windows located above the rear seats lend airiness to the area. They can be individually controlled via switches on the front/rear overhead console and rear multioperation panel.
Tazuna-inspired environment The Tazuna (horse’s reins) concept informs the front cockpit’s design, connecting human and machine intimately and intuitively through driver-oriented placements of pertinent controls, information, and media. The simple, wide-open layout realises an expansive feel, with the minimalist instrument panel as the space’s focal point.
Thoughtful seat design The eight-way driver, four-way passenger power front seats use Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate (MDI) material in their lower cushioning for superior body stability and pressure distribution, thus reducing poor posture and elevating comfort. Semi-aniline leather accented, Leather accented, and Ultrasuede* cover the seats for a comfortable feel and luxurious look.
Optimised placement of controls The steering wheel, accelerator pedal, brake pedal, and footrest sit more upright to optimise the driver’s posture. This minimises muscle load for a more comfortable driving experience.
Takumi craftsmanship and Omotenashi The seamless transition of shapes and stitching from dashboard to door evokes quality and sophistication. Large cupholders, storage cubbies, and device charging (two USB Type-C ports in the fourseater; two USB Type-C ports and Qi wireless charger² in the seven-seater) are housed in the front console box.
Central touchscreen A 14-inch, full high-definition Electro Multi Vision (EMV) wide display shows climate control, multimedia, and vehicle system settings. Depending on market specifications and settings, Wireless Apple CarPlay®¹ or Wireless Android Auto™¹ seamlessly connect to paired devices upon engine start-up. Physical dials on the screen’s lower corners control cabin temperature and audio volume levels.

C Intuitively placed controls for navigation functions, audio system, and driving mode selection within easy reach to promote minimal movement of the driver’s line of sight. D Easy-to-reach e-Latch, door grip, and power window switches
Vision Seating found in private jets, first-class commercial airline cabins, cruiser boats, and yachts inspired the look and feel of LM’s seats. Their ergonomically optimised shape incorporates an anti-vibration frame and bowed armrests for optimal comfort. Twin power seats with ottomans serve as the centrepieces of the rear’s seamless vertical and horizontal look. More than ornate thrones, the seats are among the most advanced and comfortable ever crafted by Lexus.
Dimmable and elevatable glass Three modes control sound transmission and visibility: Open, Privacy (elevated glass with transparent visibility), and Full Privacy (elevated glass with frosted dimmed glass). Placement of the glass opening allows for an excellent field of view from the twin rear seats. The front instrument panel is out of sight, while the road ahead can be seen by passengers to prevent car sickness.
Surround-sound speakers Two, ten-centimetre diameter surround-sound speakers reside on the top edge of the 48-inch ultrawide screen.¹ At this position, the sound image is better aligned with occupants’ ears, providing excellent sound localisation. The stainless steel grilles, made for tailored rib and ratio placement, maximise acoustic performance.
Slim air conditioning registers Electric registers make for automatic (via Climate Concierge) or directed (via the multi-operation panel) adjustments of climate control airflow.
Assist grips Integrated on both sides of the partition, the takumi designed grips are discreet grab handles that provide a solid, comfortable foundation for a firm grip. Their seamless construction blends with the clean aesthetic.
Footwell storage and refrigerator Located above each footwell, twin gloveboxes provide additional small item storage. A central refrigerator sits between them.
Umbrella stand An integrated small belt (maximum diameter of 40 mm) holds either a straight-handled umbrella or small shoehorn.
Parking Support Brake (PKSB)¹ While the vehicle is travelling at a low speed, if there is a possibility of contact with a static object around the vehicle, or a vehicle or a pedestrian approaching from the rear,¹ the system is designed to apply drive force control and brake control. Detection covers a wide area surrounding the vehicle, helping to avoid minor collisions and reduce damage.
48—inch ultrawide screen The 3840 x 1080 resolution display offers single or dual-screen viewing modes. Its height is set within 15 degrees of horizontal — the ideal angle for television viewing. The angle also allows for the forward viewing of the road ahead through the elevating glass with dimming function, if desired. Two viewing and listening modes are available thanks to a Lexus-first, three-way independent audio output system, which enables individual or linked viewing of content between front and rear passengers. Android™² devices can stream content directly onto the screen, while Apple™² devices can do so via a wired HDMI or Apple TV connection.
Personal charging stations A Qi-wireless charging¹ station and two USB Type-C ports are located next to the seats’ outer armrest within the covered quarter box. A headphone socket is also included.

Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) The new LM is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+. It has a detection range on the millimetre wave radar and monocular camera, which aim to help prevent accidents, and assist drivers on ordinary roads. Additionally, Safe Exit Assist¹ is an automatic door-opening cancellation function linked to the Blind Spot Monitor¹ sensor and e-latch system, that supports safe, secure exit.
Pre-Collision Safety (PCS)¹ Assistance at intersections has been expanded to include assistance in avoiding collisions with intersecting vehicles, oncoming vehicles coming straight ahead when turning, and pedestrians and cyclists approaching from ahead when turning. In addition, the scope of assistance has been expanded to include motorcycles (daytime only), oncoming vehicles that have deviated from their lane, and cyclists at night. When the system determines that there is a high possibility of a collision, it will activate the alarm and brakes to help mitigate the damage.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with All-Speed Follow Function In addition to providing preliminary acceleration in response to the operation of the turn signal when overtaking another vehicle, if a preceding vehicle in the target lane is traveling at a speed slower than the set vehicle speed, the system provides preliminary deceleration, again in response to the operation of the turn signal. This is designed to prevent a sudden approach to the preceding vehicle and enhances the sense of security. By enhancing the performance of detecting curves ahead and decelerating earlier in accordance with the size of the curve, the curve speed control function has evolved to be more in tune with the driver’s senses. When there is a vehicle in the overtaking lane that is slower than the vehicle’s speed, the system decelerates the vehicle so that it does not overtake from the driving lane and maintains the distance between the two vehicles.
Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist LDA works in tandem with the driver. For example, it deactivates the lane departure warning and restraint functions when it can judge that the driver has made a deliberate manoeuvre to avoid a person or parked vehicle. In addition, the system now recognises utility poles, curbs, guardrails, walls, and continuous poles, enabling additional support at lower speeds.
Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) Lane recognition performance has been enhanced to realise smoother and less disruptive steering support. In situations such as overtaking a vehicle in the adjacent lane, or when there is a close distance between the vehicle and an off-road structure, the tracing position is offset from the centre of the road to the avoidance side, just like the driver’s driving, to achieve cooperative control with the driver.
Road Sign Assist (RSA) (Speed Signs Only) RSA allows information from road signs to be detected and displayed on the Multi-Information Display or Head Up Display. It also restricts the vehicle’s speed based on speed limit signs.
Automatic High Beam (AHB) Automatic High Beam automatically turns the high beam lamps off if another vehicle is detected and automatically turns the high beam lamps on once the vehicle is gone.
Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) Headlamp light distribution is automatically adjusted once light from an approaching or preceding vehicle is detected by a monocular camera. LED chips within the headlamps can be enabled/disabled for precise control of illuminated or non-illuminated areas.
Safe Exit Assist (SEA) with Door Opening Control SEA uses the Blind Spot Monitor System (BSM) to detect vehicles or bicycles approaching from the rear, when exiting the vehicle. If SEA determines a collision with an opened door or exiting occupants is a possibility, an indicator in the door mirror lights up to alert occupants. In addition, if an occupant tries to open a door, the e-latch system cancels door unlatch operations. Occupants are alerted by flashing indicators in the door mirror, the multi-information display, and a buzzer.
Digital Rear-view Mirror A Digital Rear-view Mirror displays images from the backup camera at the rear of the vehicle on the in-mirror display, providing a wide field of view and images adjusted for clarity, enhancing excellent visibility even when it is difficult to check behind the vehicle.
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) During lane changes, the BSM uses rear lateral side millimetre-wave radar to detect vehicles present in the blind spots (areas in adjacent lanes that cannot be seen using the outer mirrors), and alerts the driver using an indicator in the outer mirror and a buzzer.
e-Latch System with Door Easy Closer An e-latch system replaces the conventional door latch/unlatch mechanism with an electronic control that opens and closes doors smoothly with no wasted movements, like a sliding shoji paper door. To open a door when getting in, simply press the switch on the inside of the door handle while pulling the handle towards you in the usual way. When getting out, the door opens in a single action by pressing a switch while holding the pull handle. If the battery power supply is cut, for instance, due to a collision, the doors can be opened using a manual release handle.
